If you are concerned about seasickness, please note that this tour stays in the calm, protected waters of the Inside Passage and does not go out into the open ocean; large waves and rough seas will not be encountered
Guests must be able to navigate a 9-step boarding ladder to enter the vessel. Each step is approx 6" high. Guests are seated during the entire tour
Wheelchairs, strollers and walkers are not taken on board the boat; instead they are taken at the bottom of the boarding ladder and taken to a dry, secure area during the tour and returned at the conclusion of the tour

It was nice to hear Mary's stories about living and going to school in Ketchikan. They took us out in the water by the cannery, best Eagle sightings ever!!

They tell you at the start that it's a great tour with lots of bad jokes, and that's what it is. :) But the jokes make it more fun. We had Captain Jim and Gilbert who gave us a great tour of the sights and the history of Ketchikan. We were lucky and got a great sunny day for the tour, but I think it would have been just as good in the rain.

You can book these tours in advance on your ship or just in the street as soon as you get off the boat. A cool variation on the town tour with a bus that converts to a boat. You get to see the real Ketchikan of the locals, go through all the historic spots and go in water. We saw bald eagles on the rocks as well as great views into the harbour area from the water. The staff were fantastic from the booking guy, to the captain, to the guide. Highly recommend.
