All guests are required to sign an insurance/liability waiver in order to participate
Drivers must be at least 25 years old and are required to show a current driver's license
Minimum age for the tour is 5 years
Children must weigh at least 40 lbs (18 kg) in order to fit into the required life jacket
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
Children 13-17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate in the absence of a parent or guardian

What To Expect

Tongass National Forest

For the Jeep® portion of this safari adventure, you will join up to three other guests, with plenty of opportunities to change drivers for those who want to get behind the wheel! While you traverse the mountain roads of the Tongass National Forest, your guide provides you with interesting and informative commentary using a two-way radio. You'll be fascinated by the area's natural history as you pass through old growth and new growth forests and stop for magnificent views and photo opportunities along the way.

Great tour for cruise ship passengers or other travelers with limited time in Ketchikan. The jeeps are a blast on the old logging roads, and are clean (inside) and well maintained. The canoe trip, nature walk and Alaskan snack are great as well. Our guide, Sam, is the best guide of the company; knowledgeable, fun, and professional. Get out of the downtown and experience the reason people love Alaska. Thanks again Sam!

We had a really great time firstly on a nature trail in the jeep and then on the canoe , followed by snacks and a walking trail. Fortunately for us we teamed up with 2 Canadian women who were experienced Jeep drivers and who were happy to drive. We weren’t sure if our insurance would have covered us driving and so could have been stuck. Chris our guide was great and we really would recommend this to anyone. We booked through Alaska Shore Company who obviously teamed up with Alaska Travel Adventures. We booked direct and not through cruise ship.

This was booked at the last minute (like the day before) and we were so glad that we did. Our guides, Sam and Tom, totally made the experience even better. The jeep tour was so fun! Thankfully we were near the front of the line and did not get stuck behind any slow drivers. Honestly, we were laughing so hard on the Jeep tour that i think it was our teen's fav thing we did on our trip. The canoe was fun and was just enough time to where you weren't dead tired from it but long enough to still enjoy. The snack was delicious and was a great way to end our time.
