We had a great time. Started out following along the shore to see lots of purple starfish. The water is so clear!! It started to rain...hard, but we were able to get to and see the Eagle's nest. Highlight was when an adult eagle landed in the water and wrestled a salmon to bring on shore. We were able to watch the whole experience...fascinating! We were also joined by several sea lions that were fun to watch. The two guides were great. Very patient with the group, especially with two that had never kayaked before. They were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic!

We did this as an excursion from Princess Cruises. Everything was good, guides were good, but I will say that it was harder than expected. Paddling around the islands wasn't too bad, but the trip across to the islands and the trip back were both pretty challenging with waves and wind, and I had a little trouble with the foot pedal steering (probably user error). No one capsized or was even close, but the tour kept moving and covered a lot of ground so plan on a pretty good workout. However, we saw eagles and their nest, lots of purple sea stars, and had a humpback whale for most of the time. Kind of fun to be out there on the water with a giant whale! In a world where every excursion is a bit overpriced, I thought this one was good value.

We did the kayak tour. It was great, really enjoyable. Ty and Austin looked after us - they were friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!
