Snorkeling is fun, safe, and easy aboard the Sundiver III. Join us for a 2.5 hour underwater tour to the shallow, inner, coral reefs located at the "World Famous" Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary, also known as the original John Pennekamp State Park. Our friendly crew specializes in kids, families, and first time snorkelers. You will be absolutely amazed at the underwater world that lives just offshore of Key Largo. High quality rental gear (mask, fins, float vest) is INCLUDED with all snorkel tours provided by Sundiver.

We really wanted to snorkel but it was windy and the water was choppy every day of our vacation. We tried to snorkel at Pennekamp but they were only taking experienced snorkelers due to the conditions. Finally able to find Sundiver on our last vacation day and got on their sunset tour. Quick ride out to the reef. Winds died down and was able to snorkel. Saw a moray eel, stingray and lots of fish. My friend saw a turtle. Staff was friendly and upbeat.

The main event of our vacation was a private charter snorkeling trip booked while at home 1000+ miles away, based on reviews and a website. It was a truly fantastic experience. We arrived at the shop and were booked in by very friendly employees who offered the kids free goodies from the "treasure chest". We then went 3 miles down the road to the dock where we met our captain. It turned out the oceans were choppy and he gave us the option to back out and take the more stable larger boat with a group. We are always up for an adventure so we went out on a bumpy but not scary trip to the reef. Once there, our captain explained the area, set us all up with equipment told us about the reef. We have two kids and he was great with them, explaining everything and making conversation while they were on the boat. It is impossible to put into words how cool this experience was for everybody, but I can say that we have looked forward to doing it for six months and it was better than we pictured it. We went on this tour when the seas were choppy. I don't know if this is typical of Florida seas, but I got REALLY seasick. Had the worst time of my life. Should they have been more upfront in warning us that things might get rough? I would think so. A few other people got sick as well. Mat and Albert were the crew and they were nice enough, took very good care of the people, gave good instructions and the like. Just wished they would have been more forthcoming about the rough seas. Not their fault of course, just picked a bad day to take the tour.
