We booked parasailing with snorkeling immediately afterwards. We got there and were told the boat was broken so couldnāt parasail. We then waited in the heat for two hours until the snorkel boat finally arrived 30 minutes late. The snorkel equipment is cheap with short snorkels and once we got to the reef, we waited in line to get in the water for over 20 minutes of our 1 hr allotted actual snorkeling time. The life vests were old and sun weathered. They left yellow stains on our suits from the vest fabric disintegrating as we wore them.
The water was way too rough for a beginner / intermediate snorkeler and there were very few fish where they took us. About 1/3 of the snorkelers got out, mouthes full of salt water, within minutes.
The only snack offered was small bags of chips which they would not sell you unless you had exact change which forced us to buy $20 worth of chips!
When we got off, a passing family asked if I recommended the tour and as I told her āno, it wouldnāt be good for her young childrenā, the head crew guy started yelling at us and saying it was the calmest water theyād had in weeks! He was very rude and arrogant.
The boat itself was nice and people / guests in the boat were very nice and we enjoyed the boat ride, alone. I do not recommend this snorkel trip. Iāve snorkeled many places around the globe. This is the only bad experience and only bad review (of any kind) that Iāve ever taken time to write.
