We were on the 1pm cruise on Aug. 15. Captain Joe was great. He was very nice and is keen on safety for all passengers (he checked each person to ensure that their safety gear was put on properly). The other 2 crew members were blah. The guy who presented the "what to do/not to do while snorkeling" bit had a tad of humor incorporated in his presentation but it seemed more of a script as he had none afterwards. Tried to engage him in a small fun banter on the way back while he tended to the bar but he was most disinterested. He did pass around sliced oranges but not interested in engaging with the people on board. Definitely did not receive any warm hospitality received from the other 2 crew members; they seemed to just want to do what they need to do and be done. I suppose they might have been tired, but for most passengers, this was a trip a good chunk of money and vacation time was spent on and would have been nice to have felt like they were happy to have us on board instead of us being just another trip they need to work on. They are in the hospitality business, after all.
As for snorkeling, it was great that they provided all that we needed including a vest that you can inflate as little or as much as you wish. This allowed for more experienced swimmers/divers to go deeper into the water. Water was nice and saw a decent variety of fish. We enjoyed the snorkeling part but wished for a more enjoyable crew to have spent 2 hours on the boat with.
