Our guide was great & since we were only in town until 1:30 with our cruise, this timeframe fit the schedule. It was fun and we would recommend.

My friend had never been kayaking before and wasn't sure he wanted to start, but I talked him into it. Afterwards, he said it was one of the highlights of the trip. Our tour had 5 double kayaks and our guide Bethany was on a paddle board. She took us through open areas and mangrove trails, pointing out various wildlife such as iguanas in the trees, little crabs in the mangroves, and nurse sharks in the water. She pulled up a starfish and a jellyfish for us to carefully touch and observe. She was very friendly and quite knowledgeable about the critters and the ecology of the area. Several times she had us group together in a calm area, holding on to each other's kayaks, so she could easily talk to us about the starfish (for example), or what to expect in the next leg of our journey such as a strong current. We were delighted to see a mama manatee and her baby swimming right beside us! The kayaking wasn't difficult, although the mangroves were a little tricky to maneuver through. When we got back to the dock, my friend and I had lunch at the restaurant on site - delicious! We had a great time and I'd highly recommend Lazy Dog Adventures.

This mangrove and eco tour was amazing - the highlight of our trip. We saw so much wildlife, including a manatee, nurse sharks, a starfish. Heather, our guide, was so knowledgeable and had an eagle eye for spotting wildlife. We loved this tour and would highly recommend.
