Overview

Swimming with magical giants as they dance and float right in front of your eyes is a truly magical Kona experience!

Our night manta ray snorkel tours begin departing at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. and last about an hour.

Important note:
-Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate.
-Must have basic snorkeling experience.
-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
All participants must be experienced swimmers and have snorkel experience. Children must be 5 and over to board the boat. Due to the type of boat we operate (RHIB) we are unable to allow service animals on board.
25-30 minutes of water time
50 minutes includes travel by boat time as well

Amazing experience - I highly recommend you book a company that only does small groups. There are so many boats in the water when you get out there you do NOT want to be with a company that has 20 people out in the water at the same time. We had 6 and that was important. Hundreds of tourists out in the water when you get to the mantas,many many boats I wasn't prepared for that part, but our guide, captain and host were perfect. It is not for everyone, but if you are brave enough this is an experience like no other.

My husband and I arrived early at the boat ramp and Max took the time to explain everything to us. We signed the waiver and got our wet suits on. After a short trip (5-8mins) out to the manta rays, Shannon jumped in to set up the board with the light before helping each and everyone of us swim to the board. We were in the water for about 10minutes before seeing the manta rays and by the end they were doing multiple flips right in front of us!! Shannon was awesome by constantly giving us information about the rays and stories about each one. Amanda, the biggest manta ray swam right up to us!! I thought it would be scary but they won’t harm you and it was the most unreal, out of this world experience! We would definitely recommend it! Thank you for the awesome experience!!!

We arrived early as required, and actually started the tour early, so there was no waiting around. We were greeted by friendly, knowledgeable guides and got set up to go on the boat. After a short trip out to the mantas we jumped right in and got started. We were slowly warmed up to seeing the mantas and by the end they were doing continuous flips right in front of us. Amanda, the biggest manta is known for giving belly rubs and she was not shy to come right up to us. I thought it would be scary but they won’t harm you and it was the most unreal, out of this world experience. Definitely would recommend and do it again. Thanks for the awesome adventure!
