Overview

Swimming with magical giants as they dance and float right in front of your eyes is a truly magical Kona experience!

Our night manta ray snorkel tours begin departing at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. and last about an hour.

Important note:
-Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate.
-Must have basic snorkeling experience.
-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
All participants must be experienced swimmers and have snorkel experience. Children must be 5 and over to board the boat. Due to the type of boat we operate (RHIB) we are unable to allow service animals on board.
25-30 minutes of water time
50 minutes includes travel by boat time as well

Amazing experience! Went with my husband and daughter and we were all nervous. I had issues with the mask and claustrophobia. Everyone took their time with me and I got in the water sooner than later and I am so glad I did. It is breathtaking. Affordable and experienced staff.

My Kona Adventures really put on a show for all of us. They were extremely kind in greeting us with open arms and Shannon was a phenomenal guide during the whole experience. Being able to be guided during this excursion while be in open waters of the ocean while waiting for manta rays, Shannon made us feel comfortable and excited to learn. Shannon explained many things to us about manta rays and I couldn't have asked for a better guide. Until next time, Hawai'i! Mahalo!

When I first booked this tour, I was pretty excited to try a new adventure! I used a Groupon to book this tour a few months before my vacation. On the night I went to check in I was a bit hesitant because all business was conducted from the back of a truck. But my hesitation was put to rest by the friendliness of the woman checking us in and helping with our wetsuits. The captain was very friendly and informative. Our in-water guide was very helpful in getting us in the water. We were able to see 3-4 manta rays and they were incredible! My eyes got so big when the first manta ray swam up to me! It was so exciting! It was so relaxing in the water that I started to get a bit sleepy, but I perked back up when a couple more mantas started their "ballet!" What I also liked about this tour is that it was a small group. There was only 6 of us and that made the snorkel more personable and intimate. There was another tour in the water with about 20 people and they were pretty loud. I felt that they were scaring the mantas away. A small group is the way to go. I would recommend that if you were glasses to wear your contacts for this trip because you can't wear your glasses under your swim mask. I highly recommend this tour, you won't regret it!
