PLEASE BE IN THE KAYAK SHOP 1 HOUR BEFORE TOUR START TIME, Allow time for parking and gear set up
Expect to get wet, please wear appropriate clothes such as a bathing suit and shoes that can get wet (tennis shoes, 'river shoes' or flip flops)
Hats, sun screen and towels are strongly advised
Please do not bring valuables and things that cannot get wet
There is a weight limit of 250 pounds per single kayak and 450 pounds per double kayak
For safety reasons, the tour operator does not guarantee going into the caves on tours. Entrance to caves is based on ocean conditions, safety, and participants ability as determined by guide.
Minimum age is 6 years for a double kayak and 16 years for a single kayak
All participants must be able to swim
Social distancing enforced throughout experience
Regularly sanitised high-traffic areas
Gear/equipment sanitised between use
Guides required to regularly wash hands

What a great tour, we got to see Leopard sharks, stingwrays, seals and plenty of fish. The guide was really informative and made the whole experince that much better. I would definately recommend this tour.

This tour was fantastic. My mother is very inexperienced with and afraid of many outdoor activities, but she knows how much I like sea kayaking so wanted to come with me to learn more about what I like. I am 30 and my mother is almost 70. I booked a tour with La Jolla Kayak, and the guides in the shop very patiently listened to my mother explain her nervousness and gave her amazing encouragement and compassion. We had two great encounters - one with a woman named Brenna and one with our guide named J.J. Brenna explained to my mother about her own fears and how she overcame them, and it really gave my mother the courage to give this a try. J.J., our guide, checked up on us the whole time while we were out on the water and was super kind to my mom. At the end of the trip, my mother was so proud of herself for going on this tour and is telling everybody about how much fun she had! I am just so glad we found such a great staff who would really work with us and really help my mom get her feet in the door with outdoor activities. I highly recommend this tour to anybody new to sea kayaking and who wants good and compassionate people to give them encouragement!

After living in San Diego for 3 years we finally rented some Kayak's and toured La Jolla Cove. You will get wet so dress accordingly and don't take any thing that cannot get wet. It is worth every minute of it. It's so nice to be on the open waters, seals are all around and the caves are such a beautiful sight to see. This is a must do if your in La Jolla!
