What To Expect
1
Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

We had a great time last week on this tour at Lake Tahoe. We had 6 people ranging in age 80 to 11. Everyone was entertained and we saw some beautiful areas. Mike was an excellent tour guide and the photos we received were amazing.

I thank Keith and his assistant Victor very much for taking me to the tour as the only tour member, with their normal charge. Both Keith and Victor are very friendly and nice and considerate and I felt so at easy and relaxed during the whole tour. I had a wonderful ending of my Tahoe trip with the tour they provided. Keith knows the local area very well. They showed me their special spots with great view. I learnt a lot about photographing and about local Tahoe. And of course they took great photos of me in beautiful scenery. This tour is a great experience for me. Keith is a very talented and experienced photographer. While riding in the car to those special spots for views and pictures, I got chance to see pictures Keith took of animals. You must have a look of those awesome photographs! Some are so extraordinary (eg, a mother wolf playing with a cub in their den!). The tour is very pleasant and educational. Under the instructions of Keith and Victor, I was also able to take some nice pictures. If I have chance to visit South Lake Tahoe again, for sure I would join their tour to see more and to learn more. Of course I would strongly recommend this tour to others. Yan Huang

The day I took the Tahoe Photographic Tour was the most rewarding day in the fifty plus years I have been going to Lake Tahoe. I do not drive so I have taken other tours, but they did not afford me all the special places that I knew about but couldn't get to. Everywhere we went: other lakes, spectacular water falls, ridges, parks, walking trails, were all magnificent with incredible views. Over the years, I have purchased postcards of the very places we went and I finally got to see them up close and personal. I took pictures myself, but the ones I received from my guides are exquisite. Something else that is very important - the special people who operate the business: Robin who is so great explaining the tour to you and Doug the guide who was so informative and pleasant and Victor, a young man who is learning the business who is also very caring and helpful. If you plan on taking a tour of the Tahoe area do yourself a favor and take the best one. Don't forget to ask to see some of Keith's pictures - you don't often see a man who pals around with the local bears. Sincerely, Vivian Petrucci
