What To Expect
1
Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Thank you to Doug, our guide, who was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating! We were traveling with two teens, celebrating their graduation from high school and boy, did they have fun! The areas where we hiked contained enough terrain to keep them happy and jumping around like mountain goats! I was happy because I got to photograph so many scenic spots around Tahoe! It exceeded my expectations! I am thankful for Robin, who went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we could fit this tour into our schedule and budget. Many, many thanks! :-)

Sam was our instructor and guide. He took us to many beautiful places, and I swear I learned more about my camera in the first 30 minutes than I've known since I've had the camera. Sam was great. We hiked a little bit, but the hike was worth every thing we saw, and the photos gathered. He took us to about 7-8 places, where we saw things that even people who lived in the area had not seen. We stopped for a snack, bathrooms, and never felt pressured to hurry. 5 hours in a 1/2 day tour---I can't recommend it enough. Beautiful way to see Lake Tahoe, and you'll definitely learn something. Plus, Sam will e-mail all of the beautiful pictures he took of US at these spots.

I went here during spring break with my boyfriend and we both loved it! Our guide was Mike and he was so incredibly knowledgeable about the area and was excellent in explaining the different places. My boyfriend and I didn't have a car in Tahoe, but Mike was good about explaining what was in walking and biking distance. The views on the tour were beautiful and the pictures we got back were also great! Mike was super nice because I had a camera too and he was explaining how I could use it to its maximum potential. This was such a great experience and very worth it. I'd highly recommend it!
