What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

My husband and I booked the half-day tour as an anniversary gift to ourselves. It was a wonderful way to spend part of our time in Tahoe. Mike was friendly and knowledgeable and even though it was windy and raining, it didn't stop us from seeing the sights. We are planning to revisit the spots Mike showed us next time we go to Tahoe. In addition, the customer service both Robin and Keith provided was impeccable. We would recommend this tour to anyone!

I booked this excursion primarily for my wife, and we both ended up having an excellent time. We are regular vacationers at Lake Tahoe, and have been all around the Lake several times, but the photographic tour enabled us to see and experience parts of Lake Tahoe that we never would have discovered on our own. Our guide, Doug, was not only helpful with photography tips, but was super friendly and had a wealth of knowledge about Lake Tahoe. We captured some incredible shots of more secluded areas of Lake Tahoe that are off the beaten path. It was thoroughly enjoyable and we will sign up for the tour again. Thanks!

What a wonderful day with amazing views of Lake Tahoe. Our guide, Greg was supper nice and did a wonderful job of picking out some great spots. I would love to come back in the spring like he said to see the waterfalls
