What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Definitely recommend Tahoe Photographic Tours to anyone visiting Lake Tahoe! We spent a full day with our guide, Mike, and had a wonderful time. He took us to several spots around the lake, and despite the fact that we had unusually smoky conditions that day, he still managed to find some great photo locations. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the area. Everyone we dealt with at this company was responsive, pleasant and accommodating. This is the best way to see the lake and get some amazing pictures from your trip! Well worth the money!

Our tour guide, Greg, was very knowledgeable about the Tahoe area, and took us to some beautiful locations. We were there at one of the busiest times of the year, so a lot of places were just too packed to get into, but we still got to experience some of Tahoe's great scenery.

I went with my daughter and it was great to go directly to the best photo spots in South Lake Tahoe! Greg was our tour guide and 5 hours went by very fast...it was a very good idea to do this tour at the beginning of our vacation in Tahoe because that way we could enjoy much more knowing a bit about plants, animals and history of the area! The tour is more oriented to sightseeing than learning about photography, but if you enjoy photography you will certainly enjoy the manificent views of beautiful Tahoe!
