What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This was by far one of the highlights of our trip to Tahoe. If you do nothing else, spend the money on this tour! You will see places that you would never find on your own. Plus, our guide, Mike, provided us with so much information on the history of the area, the various types of trees native to Tahoe, and so much more. He was seriously a walking Wikipedia! :) The photos you are left with look like postcards! Some of the scenery is so beautiful it looks like a painting. We will definitely be doing this tour again when we go back to Tahoe. Plus, they even pick you up at your front door. Can't beat that kind of service!!

We saw this tour on Trip advisor and after checking out the website and reviews knew that we wanted to reserve a tour. We were able to book a 1/2 day tour with Greg. He gave us some background info about the area and pointed out interesting sites. He drove us to some very scenic spots that we probably would have never been able to find on our own. He was very patient as I took many pictures. It was a great time and we will not only recommend it to everyone but when we go back to Lake Tahoe we will try the full day tour. If you are traveling to the Lake Tahoe area this is a must do!

When you get to the beautiful Lake Tahoe you may think the tourist vista points and popular places would give you the best views in the area. Totally wrong!! This photographic tour will take you to the most exciting views we saw in our visit. I'm an experienced amateur photographer and definitely, the 1/2 a day tour was too short to hear and learn from Keith Price. But the 1/2 tour is not only great for who wants the best places to shoot outstanding images. We decided to all go on the tour (the 7 people in our family and friends crowd, for which they had a convenient fee) and everyone enjoyed the tour as one of the best activities we made...
