What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Jim was our guide and driver. My wife and I can't say enough about how great this day tour was; the weather was perfect, the viewing vistas (many off the beaten path were incredible, and Jim added local knowledge and photography pointers. I would highly recommend and look forward to visit Lake Tahoe again. Thanks Keith for this opportunity!

We read on Trip Advisor the glowing reviews of this tour company and wanted to give it a try! Reviews were spot on and happily adding our 5 star review as well! The friendly, personal service began the moment we made our reservations with Robyn. She is delightful and very helpful in answering my many questions. Keith was our tour guide and from the moment he promptly picked us up at our hotel, we felt we met a life long friend. His knowledge of photography and Lake Tahoe was impressive and his enthusiasm and love for the area contagious. While we visited many popular areas, Keith also took us to spots off the beaten path and a photographer's dream. Our time was limited and schedule tight that day, however, Keith was willing to accommodate and pick us up again later in the day to finish our tour. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take him up on his kind offer but surprised and grateful for his willingness. Keith is ALL about the experience and the customers' 100% satisfaction! Sharing his love of Tahoe and passion for photography is priority! Our next visit to Tahoe will definitely include another tour with Tahoe Photographic Tours. Simply the best! Is it possible to give a 10 star review........I cannot recommend Tahoe Photographic Tours enough for anyone planning a trip to Beautiful Lake Tahoe. My sisters and I came for a visit, and this being their first time there, I wanted to share with them in the best way possible all the beauty this magnificent area has to offer. This being my 3rd time to book a tour with Keith on an unsurpassed photographic adventure, I knew we wanted to spend the day with him. This full day tour started with him picking us up promptly at our hotel in a clean and comfy SUV and we were off to see all the hidden gems he couldn't wait to share with us. Every time I have booked a tour with Keith he always has lots of new places to show us. Keith absolutely loves Lake Tahoe, Wildlife and Photography and sharing his knowledge and love of these things is definitely his passion, He gets you off the beaten path and tries to avoid the crowds and traffic.(He knows all the backroads). He was constantly pulling the car up to pick us up and always had cold bottled water to offer us.....Talk about making your clients feel special. We enjoyed lunch at a quaint little place with great food. We immensely enjoyed so many of Keith's stories of living in Lake Tahoe with his beautiful wife Robin, so much history from the area and all of his adventures and love of wildlife photography. This man is literally the wildlife whisperer. We spent the entire day out exploring but ran out of time to see everything he wanted to share with us. On our full day tour there was a stunning place Keith wanted to take us to but before we knew it the day was gone. Keith offered to take us there the next day at no additional charge. When we got into a time crunch, his lovely wife Robin went above and beyond to get our dinner reservations moved to a later time. We were also fortunate enough to have Keith come with us another day on a parasailing adventure and he was able to capture all the excitement of my 2 sisters first time to parasail.....If you want to spend a day getting off the beaten path and away from all the touristy places of Lake Tahoe, booking a tour with Tahoe Photographic Tours is a must. There is nothing better than getting a fully guided tour with history, photography tips from a very talented photographer and beautifully edited pictures. These amazing pictures Keith delivered from our trip will forever be treasured reminders of our wonderful time spent in Lake Tahoe. I will forever be grateful to both Keith and Robin for showing both my sisters the caring hospitality that has helped them to build the best tour company in Lake Tahoe. I never realized when I booked my first tour with Keith many years back that we would become such great friends. Keith and Robin are both such kind enthusiastic and loving souls and I am truly blessed by the friendship we now share. I can't wait to start planning our next trip to Lake Tahoe.
