What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

A spectacular day with Keith. He is extremely knowledgeable of the lake and surrounding areas and is diligent at finding the perfect spots to take pictures and diverting the crowds. We couldn’t have had a better experience. Our tour was the best part of our trip to Lake Tahoe. We were up close and personal with nature in a completely relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was staged. What a day!

Just wanted to make sure to give a 5 star review to Jim, our photographer. Not only was Jim knowledgeable about Tahoe but his photography skills were bar none!! A really great guy with lots of tips about where, when and how. We enjoyed this so much and are glad we did it at the beginning of trip because then we knew where things were. I'd love to tell you where we went but then you would think--I'll just go--I don't need this, and you would be wrong! It made it better! Not only did we get great advise on photography how-to's...--we also got professional pictures of us. How many times do you get that!!!?????? Thanks Jim--we would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

I feel blessed to have spent a couple of days with Keith Price who showed me all the interesting places around Lake Tahoe to photograph. I am a professional photographer who has both attended and offered workshops and field trips all over the United States. I found Keith to be very customer focused, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Whether we were riding in the car, stopped for lunch or at an actual shooting venue his stories, as well as his wildlife and landscape photos he brought with him were beautiful and inspirational. Keith has lived in Lake Tahoe for more than 40 years so he knows the area very well. I feel I walked away with some great photographs, a lot of knowledge for future visits and most importantly, a new friend. I highly recommend Tahoe Photographic Tours.
