Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

We were picked up by the owner himself. We signed up for the half day tour. I had also picked the best day of the week. There had been a light snow last night and the snow was stuck on the trees Every stop was even more beautiful than the one before! Keith was so nice and helped me with the aspects of my camera and suggestions for photos. It was the greatest learning tour ever! Spectacular beauty and such great information! Anyone wanting great pictures and a great instructor and guide, just give them a call! Best money ever spent on a tour! Thanks Keith!

Hello Tahoe Photographic Tours guest. Thank you very much for taking the time to submit your review. Any review that starts off with ā€œThe Best Tour I have ever takenā€ as all any business owner could ever ask for. It was a great day and my pleasure to share history and photography tips along the way. Thank you again and we would forward to your next visit.

My husband & I share a passion for photography, but we're amateurs with lots to learn. We plan our vacations around the opportunity to use our cameras. When we saw all the positive reviews for Tahoe Photographic Tours, we contacted them right away. Robin replied to our online request for information promptly and we made arrangements. Keith gave us a special private tour since we were celebrating our 10th anniversary and what an amazing day we had! Keith kept us entertained with stories of his adventures as we drove between locations. On location, he offered photo-taking tips. The spots we visited were breathtaking. We would never have found these places on our own. Aside from getting photo tips from Keith, he also took pictures of the landscapes and my husband & me, too. So not only did we get (within 24 hours) stunning landscape pictures taken by an extraordinarily talented photographer, we also had the benefit of having our anniversary pictures professionally done. What a great bonus! Keith and Robin are an absolutely delightful couple. It was an honor to spend the day with them. We look forward to going back in the Fall so that we can take pictures of the beautiful autumn colors. There's no doubt that we'll book a day with Tahoe Photographic Tours each time we're in the area. Both Robin & Keith said it and I feel it is absolutely true - we start as their clients, but we become friends. For those of you who may be reading all the great reviews thinking they can't be that good, causing you to feel skeptical - they are indeed that good. There are people who are good at what they do and then there are people like Keith & Robin. They are truly exceptional. Tips for a winter tour: Wear snow pants and snow boots, dress in layers, & bring sunglasses. They will have bottled water for you and there will be an opportunity to buy either snacks or lunch midway through the tour at a charming local shop. You do not need to have a fancy camera or even any camera at all. If you have a camera phone, that's good enough. Without a camera, this tour is still very worthwhile just to see the sights. Thank you, Keith & Robin, for making our anniversary something really special.

Going out with Keith to his secret (and extremely epic) locations was SO FUN. We spent the whole day exploring and just having a blast. This tour is a MUST for anyone who wants to really get the most out of a Lake Tahoe visit - I feel like I know the lake on such a deeper level now! And Keith is probably one of the nicest humans you will ever meet - he take great care and makes sure everything is just right for his guests. We loved our time here and plan to come back FOR SURE!
