What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Great guided tour for Tahoe. I would suggest doing this right when you arrive to get a good idea of the incredible scenery in the area. Being escorting to some of the most beautiful sites in the world, and getting some good hints on photo composition and settings, makes a great jump off o being on your own on discovering other hidden gems around Tahoe.

This tour is more than worth the money! This tour was the favorite part of my trip. The tour guide and the photographer were simply amazing. It was more than just a photography tour, we learned so much about Tahoe. You can leave your camera at home because the photographer takes all of the pictures, I thought for sure it would be at an extra cost but it's all included, I'm so surprised they don't charge more. I will be booking a tour with them every time I return to Tahoe. A job well done!!!

The Lake Tahoe region has amazing spots for photography and Keith, our tour guide, knows them all. Kieth is very friendly, very knowledgeable about the region and an awesome photographer who is most willing top share his knowledge. On the day the weather did not co-operate for grand visits photos. but Kieth still took us to great places.
