What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This is my first visit to Lake Tahoe and I did not know what to expect. I booked the tour online, Keith made me feel a friend is sharing the most pretty spots along the lake with me. I would have missed many photo spots without Keith. He knows all secret gardens and the history behind each location. Highly recommended.

This is my 3rd tour with Keith, Robin & Tahoe Photographic Tours. My first 2 tours were in the summer so I decided to do this one in the fall as I wanted to see the colors of Autumn in the mountains and I was not disappointed. Keith knows exactly which spots have the best scenery and how to make the most of your photograph whether it's a digital camera or a smart phone camera. The photos he takes of you & the surrounding scenery are absolutely amazing as well. This is a must do day trip anytime you are visiting Lake Tahoe, but I do recommend booking early as it is a popular tour. Keith and Robin are great people and know so much history of the area, you won't be disappointed. I learn new things each time I spend the day with Keith.

My husband and I decided to take the Lake Tahoe Photography Tour. Everything about the tour was amazing! Keith and Robin were the best guides. Keith's knowledge of photography and the perfect places to take photographs helped make our time in Lake Tahoe one of the best vacations ever. Celebrating my birthday with the tour was a smart move. Take the tour with Keith and Robin was genius!!! They are friendly, personable, passionate and knowledgeable. We plan to return and enjoy another tour with them.
