What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

First of all our guide Tom not only took us to top Tahoe locations but out of the way places too. He was a world of information about Tahoe and its history which really added to the tour besides all the great pictures I got to take. A must do especially if you value photography.

Outstanding way to spend part of a day! Our tour guide, Max, grew up in Lake Tahoe area and knew the way around. He not only showed us some highly scenic spots but he pointed out the best spot to photograph it! It was clear that Max enjoyed giving the tour and his enthusiasm was infectious! As a plus, Max took pictures of my wife and I with the beautiful scenery as a back drop and emailed them to us. Outstanding outing! We were in the Lake Tahoe area for a wedding and wanted to see and photograph some of the scenery. Max, our driver and photographer, grew up in the area and not only knew the back roads to beautiful scenery but also the best placement to capture a GREAT image. As a plus, Max took a number of photos of my wife and I with some of the breath taking views as a backdrop.

My wife, did not bring a camera on the tour but enjoyed the views and outing as much as I did.

I highly recommend this tour! Ask for Max!
