What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Wonderful tour of Tahoe region with Keith. Extremely knowledgeable of the area and passionate about photography. Took us to some great places. Need more than 24 hours in a day. My husband used his fancy camera. I used my iphone. Beverly D

I highly recommend the photography tour. Max was our tour guide and he was awesome. He took us to places we NEVER would have found if we did it on our own and then gave us tips on what settings to use on our cameras to get some beautiful pictures. Max was very knowledgeable about the Lake Tahoe area. We were able to go to several different locations: Emerald Bay, Fallen leaf, the ridge and the 3 Homesteads along the beach which all made for beautiful pictures that Lake Tahoe has to offer. Plus it was a good thing he was driving as I am not sure we would have been comfortable driving on some of the narrow crowded roads. He was even able to avoid traffic given he knew the backroads. Keith is the owner and he was very easy to work with. I would do this tour again if I ever get back to Tahoe. Money well spent!!!!

We took this tour based on a recommendation by a work colleague. We were on the fence as to whether we would do it, but since this was my husband’s first trip to Lake Tahoe (and he enjoys photography), we decided to give it a go. Needless to say, our expectations were beyond surpassed. Keith was our tour guide and he was outstanding! We had booked a half day tour, but we all had such a good time that the tour ended up being a whole day. Keith was so incredibly gracious and gave my husband valuable photo advice at every stop. Although I have visited Lake Tahoe before, Keith took us to places that I never knew about and that we would likely never find on our own. This tour was the highlight of our trip and we would recommend it to anyone – even for visitors who have been to Lake Tahoe before.
