What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This was our first trip to Lake Tahoe, and the half-day tour made us fall in love with the area! Tom was an AMAZING tour guide and helped us capture memories that will last a life time. He kept us engaged the entire time with his extensive knowledge of the area. We were able to see the most beautiful places and learn so much about Lake Tahoe. It was a perfect balance of education and fun! I 100% recommend this tour to everyone, it is definitely worth it. I wish we had done the full day, I wasn't ready for it to end. We can't wait to go back to some of the spots Tom showed us and suggested for us to go! The tour was incredible... this review doesn't do this experience justice. (PS the pictures I attached are my own that I took on an iPhone, can't wait to see the ones Tom took)

Tom took us on our all day photo your. He was low-key and super knowledgeable since he's been a Tahoe resident for the last 20+ years. Tom took us to places we would have never found on our own. We had lots of fun taking pictures and received some fabulous pictures that Tom himself had taken. If you have limited time in Tahoe this tour is the way to go. It was fantastic!

My wife and I had an amazing time with Keith and the tour he guided us through. We saw and photographed amazing views of Fallen Leaf Lake, of Heavenly Mountain, of virtually all of South and West Tahoe, and we were treated to world class, hands-on assistance with maximizing the photos we took. My wife and I are amateurs at best, but Keith was absolutely wonderful, helping us to set up in the best spots, and to apply the appropriate settings in order to take the best pictures we possibly could. I only had my iPhone and yet i was still able to take better pictures with it than I have before thanks to his expert guidance. But even if you're not into photography, the tour itself, the viewpoints you will see, the conversations you will have with Keith - These things alone are more than worth the price of admission. And when it's all said and done, when you are pleasantly exhausted, and completely satisfied with your journey, you'll feel like you spent the day with family and friends, and not some stranger you hired to show you around. The whole experience is intimate, and ever so rewarding. If you do one thing in Lake Tahoe, do this! You will NOT regret it one bit!
