What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

My tour on Thurs 6/22/2017 was the best thing I have done in all my years of visiting Lake Tahoe. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the lake even if you are not a photographer. I had a small digital camera and my I-Phone for photos and they turned out great. Your guide will give you hints and tips on how to possibly get a better photograph and also takes pictures of you and the surrounding scenery. The places they take you would never imagine going on your own. Keith, Robin and the rest of the staff are so knowledgeable of the area you can't go wrong. At the end of the day you will consider them new friends, not just your tour guide/photographer. I do recommend calling in advance to make a reservation as it is a popular tour.

What an amazing couple of days spent with Keith, our tour guide. We have visited Lake Tahoe on three previous occasions and I really wanted to visit places I hadn't seen and capture some great images. What I didn't expect was to meet such a wonderful guide. Keith has lived in the area for 40 years and he used his vast knowledge of the area to find unique places to take photos. Both my wife and myself had a fantastic adventure and I would recommend this company to anybody who appreciates value for money and courteous service.

What a great experience! Keith's knowledge was endless and his passion contagious. He loves Lake Tahoe, and it shows. He tailored the day to our needs and wants, and had a story for every locale we chose. We saw and learned things we never would have on our own. He also shared his amazing photography and techniques with us, and we ended up with many great pix by the end of the day. He even turned us on to a yummy lunch place! Keith and Robin could not have been kinder or more generous. I only wish I could give them 6 stars!
