What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Firstly, Robin and Keith are two of the most interesting people you may ever meet. Robin sets up the tour and prepares you for it. She keeps you informed until the tour begins and then checks to make certain you enjoyed the experience. A true professional. Keith is amazing. He obviously loves what he does and calls everyone his guests. By the time the tour ends, you are also his friend. He is not only a great photographer but an endless source of anecdotes about the "real" Lake Tahoe. His guidance and selection of photo spots is beyond compare. Never looking at a watch, he afforded the six people on our trip ample time for exploration as well as their own photos and Keith's photos of them. As an intermediate photographer myself, Keith was always available to answer questions or offer suggestions without taking away from everyone else's experience. My "photography widow" wife was never neglected and Keith made certain that there were pictures of us. His photo skills are exceptional, his warmth and personality reassuring, and his kindness unmatched. I am already planning to revisit my new friend. You will not be disappointed.

This was our first visit to Lake Tahoe and Keith and Robin Price did NOT disappoint us! This Photographic Tour was amazing. From communicating with us as to the pick up time, to us not fretting about water and mud...(they provided boots for us if needed), to a clean tour vehicle, to AMAZING spots to photograph, we had a wonderful day! Keith knows the history of this place and the places to see for certain. We had driven around the lake the day before and had stopped at several places....beautiful places...but we "fought" for parking places and also shuffled our way through the crowd of people to get to the view. However, not with Keith! Like I said, he knows this area! He took us to areas where we had the best of the best views....and NO CROWDS. You would have thought that these were spots "reserved for Keith!" There were no others at the places he took us! We were not hurried or rushed in any way. We made our way around the lake to Tahoe City, where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a nice friendly restaurant...and you could tell they loved Keith as well. Then on down the road we went to more secluded places. After eight delightful hours, we were back at our resort. But, it didn't stop there. We received 100 plus photos that Keith took of us and the sites on our email. Talk about customer service...Keith and Robin care about their clients. All said and done, we not only walked away as clients but as friends. Keith took us on a beautiful photographic tour of Lake Tahoe. He shared his love of the beautiful country. We saw sites that all tourists enjoy seeing but from the best perspectives. We also saw scenes that tourists wouldn't typically know about. He was friendly, passionate about what he does and we thoroughly enjoyed our day together. Robin, his wife, was also extremely kind and helpful. We'll definitely be back and bring other family with us. We can't recommend him and thank him enough.
