What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This is the best tour I have ever been on! Keith was so knowledgeable about the city and knew the perfect spots for taking photographs. You can tell he genuinely wants you to have the best day possible and goes out of his way to make sure that happens. From the door-to-door service, to having the equipment/clothes needed for this tour, you will be very well taken care of. Tahoe Photographic Tours has received TripAdvisor's award for the past 3 years and after the tour they are most deserving. It was an incredible experience and a day I will never forget. I plan to come back in the winter to see a snow covered Lake Tahoe and will definitely use Tahoe Photographic Tours when I do.

The day spent with Keith was beyond our expectations and we can't thank him and his wife Robin enough. Keith was so passionate about sharing his knowledge and experiences of the scenery and wildlife around Lake Tahoe. We saw places we probably would not have found on our own! It was our first visit to Lake Tahoe, and we wanted to see the beauty of the area. Keith did not disappoint!! His goal for the tour was to show us places we would not normally see as tourists, and he went above and beyond! Keith is very knowledgeable about the area and incredibly talented as a photographer. We did not know what to expect from a photo tour, but left with awestruck hearts at the kindness of Keith and the beauty of Lake Tahoe. We plan to bring our families back to the area and will definitely contact Keith for another tour!
