Lamar Valley Safari Hiking Tour with Lunch

Overview
Yellowstone Hiking Guides safely leads hiking groups into the Lamar Valley on a wildlife viewing day hike tour.

Our guides are experts and fun is a top priority. Regularly, we spot wolves and other rare wildlife from the trail in the backcountry of Yellowstone.

Most tour providers in Yellowstone spend the majority of the day on the road, or very close to the road. Our tours are off the beaten path.

Frequently our guests tell us that a tour with us is the best part of their vacation to Yellowstone.

The hike was great!! Our guide was personable, helpful, and was widely conditioned in every aspect of the park. I believe each guest learned what they wanted about the hike, and our questions rarely went unanswered. We saw Bison, pronghorn, marmot and more. She was also well versed in birding and the flora. Felt shorter than 6 miles, even though my watch said it was! I would advise long pants as we used Buffalo trails as well as human. Outstanding!

We really enjoyed the 6-hour Lamar Valley hiking experience! Alex was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable, inclusive of everyone in the group, and kind. We saw a ton of bison, a black wolf, badger, pronghorn, and other wildlife. Highly recommend!!

We loved this hike. Emily Jo did a great job, giving us so much history and information on the area. We loved seeing all the wild life too!
