Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home and Museum - General Admission

Overview
If you’re a fan of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Little House books, then Rocky Ridge Farm here in Mansfield, Missouri is a destination that should be near and dear to your heart. Rocky Ridge Farm holds such profound significance on Laura’s life. One could say, had it not been for this inspired and pivotal time with Almanzo and Rose at their beloved homestead, we may have never known about her at all. But the fact remains, her writings from the perspective of a pioneer life have created a following around the globe. It’s only fitting that we preserve and cherish the place where the Little House books were written.

There are 2 homes, museum, short film, gift shop & hiking trail. Excellent Tour Guides. Loved it! We were there 4.5 hours, but I could have stayed longer.

My children got to see first hand how families lived years ago and they saw what the true Laura looked like. They liked looking at the birds that were in the trees at the rock house. I was glad to see Pa's true fiddle. Rose was such a great daughter to help her parents out. I wished there were more adults like her.

The farm tours were wonderful 😊 I didn't appreciate paying $6 more per ticket yes!! $6 more per ticket thru trip advisor. I thought that was the only way to buy tickets because trip advisor kept coming up when I googled the museum. I'm still ticked off and will never use trip advisor again!!
