We brought two grandchildren 5 and 4. Waited in line for 30 minutes for the ride that took 12 people at a time. The lady running the ride could have not been more inefficient with letting people get on the ride, off the ride and just getting the ride going. She seemed to to be distracted with other tasks and did not have time to get people on the ride or get it running. I she is supervising other employees in other departments Legoland should have another person run the ride. Also the 4D movie was not good. Also, the wait for it was a lie to everyone waiting. There was a count down above the door of the theater that the children were watching and when it reach 0, nothing happened for another 5 or 10 minutes. Most in line waiting for the movie were distributed that maybe the theater would not show the move since the count down showed 0 long before the same lady as the ride showed up with two helpers to open the theater. I head comments, "do they not have other employees?"

After reviewing different things to do in KC, I came across Legoland. My kids love legos so I thought this was perfect. Bought tickets online months in advance and had to choose a time to come. Site explains this is so you can enjoy each exhibit. We were first in line along side about 50 others who bought tickets in advance and 50 others who didn’t. After finishing the first exhibit we were overrun with kids from day camps and daycares. We chose to just leave and missed several exhibits. Also with the price of admission $30, there were main exhibits that you had to pay for. Not worth the price of admission. Go to aquarium instead

A beautiful attraction that is quite pricey for the average family. Buying online saves a bit but you still pay $25 per person with the add on taxes and fees. A coupon that says buy one adult entry and the child is free with a code does not work online or at the check in desk. Additional costs inside for the race car attraction or the Wizard of Oz attraction is just wrong. Legos to play with and build are available but too many are the very small size which are really not appropriate for the 2-6 year old. Gift shop is quite nice but way over priced and yes the family photos will set you back the price of lunch for 4 adults. Nice place but too many hidden charges for the average family.
