What To Expect

Crown Center

Located at Crown Center in Kansas City, LEGOLAND Discovery Center offers a world of fun for children ages 3-10. With this admission ticket, you'll have access to plenty of entertaining attractions to keep the whole family busy for a day of LEGO-building fun. A typical visit usually lasts two to three hours, but you can stay as long as you like.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center

Start your Legoland Discovery Visit at the LEGO Factory, where Professor Brick-a-Brack shares how LEGO bricks get their shapes and colors. Then move onto Miniland, and indulge in The Wizard of Oz fun by traveling from Dorothy’s Farm over the rainbow to Munchkin Land, and then end your journey in the Emerald City. You can construct a LEGO building at the Earthquake Tables, and then watch as plates move to test the strength of each tower. At LEGO Racers, you can build and test your own race car! Amp up the adventure aboard a mighty chariot on the Kingdom Quest Laser Ride, using mounted laser guns to zap trolls and spiders as they appear around each corner, or become a top wizarding student by pedaling a bike as fast as you can to help create a magic potion on Merlin’s Apprentice Ride. SEA LIFE Kansas City

Make a full day of it and upgrade your visit with a Combo Ticket that includes admission to Legoland Discovery Center and Sea Life Aquarium. This fun aquarium will educate, surprise and delight all members of the family. See 'smiling' stingrays, be engulfed by a school of fish, watch as sharks swim overhead and get hands on in the touchpools.

We attended on a Saturday morning around 1030 AM with five adults & five children. We had gotten tickets online that saved us over a hundred dollars, only purchasing the adult tickets and the kids got in free with the coupon. The line to get in was long but moved fairly quickly. The kids enjoyed the rides, short film, and activities that were offered. We spent about two and a half hours here altogether and would recommend it to families with small children if you’re needing something fun for them to do.

We were excited to see a bunch of exhibits made of Lego but instead of that we saw a ride that had about a 2 hour wait to do it. The next ride my kids wanted to do they wanted us to pay for it right after we paid for tickets to get into this place. It was a bunch of kids running wild and some being rude. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Don't waste your money. Take your kids to the zoo and the park. You will enjoy it much better!

Thanks for leaving a review. It's disappointing to read about your experience and I apologize that it wasn't what you were hoping for. I've spoken with my team about the last few days and the two hour wait you mention seems a little long. There were some busy times but nothing anywhere near that long to our knowledge. Regarding seeing exhibits made of Lego I hope you were able to see our Miniland area with lots of buildings in Kansas City made from Lego that come to life with day and night scenes. Primarily we are about children and parents being able to play, learn and create with Lego.

My kids had great time. We ended up getting tickets from Expedia. The LEGOland website had our family of 4 tickets priced at $154.00. We ended up getting the same 4 tickets from Expedia for $90.00. If your kids love to build legos you could definitely spend more time than we did there. We didn’t spend much time building. Food is way expensive there and not many options.
