Not as impressed as things were not all working. At every filling stations 1 of 3 machines not working. Only 1 attendant at the merry go round who was also the operator- should be at least 2 or more. Things are too spread out so more walking than expected. Loved the theaters and Pirate rides. At parking checkout which are machines, not all functioning. Why?

The hotel, while pricey, is worth it due to all of the theming. We got the pirate room and all the theming was great. The separate sleep area for kids was great, and the themed treasure hunt was very cute. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel has a very cute playground/play area in the middle of the lobby that my son loved. The elevators also have disco balls and music, which is a fun touch. The Bricks Family restaurant was decent, but expensive for dinner. The inclusive breakfast buffet was also there, and very good with lots of options, staff did a great job of refilling everything when needed. The pool was nice and set up like a beach where you walk in and it slowly gets deeper, great for small kids to splash in the shallow end. There were also 3 lifeguards on duty who were all very attuned with what was going on, which as a parent, I really appreciate. The park itself seems to have a few growing pains which I think might fix themselves as the park matures. The park is only open from 10-7 during the week, which I find to be quite short for the summer, but I'm assuming that will change based on the demand of visitors. Some of the staff seem to be inexperienced/unsure of how to load/unload rides, leading to a bit of wait even if the line is short. As many others have said, there is ZERO shade throughout the park, so if it's an extremely hot day, it can be challenging. The logistics of the park are also a bit strange, the hotel and park entrance are situated at the top of a hill, and the park then snakes down into a valley. There is one, long, winding path that goes through the entire park, so there's no real way to cut through the park, and it also means to leave or to go back to the beginning, you have to walk up the entire hill, so a lot of walking is involved. My biggest complaint is that all of the food closes an hour before the park closes, or 6 PM on a weeknight. If you get to a restaurant before 6 PM they will still seat you, but they lock the doors at 6. Additionally, all other concessions (hot dogs, ice cream, everything else) close at 6. I'm only complaining, because this is not listed anywhere that I can see. We were trying to feed our son at 6:10 and couldn't find anything, and when kids are hungry, it can be rough. We ended up going back to Bricks for an (expensive), but decent dinner. With all that being said, the park is wonderful for all its theming. The Lego statues are plenty and so much fun (great for photo ops). The Cityscapes in Miniland are amazing and worth wondering around in. Would def go back in the future!
