Throughout this tour you will learn about the evolution of San Diego’s culinary underground and how an area loaded with warehouses and factories like Wonderbread became the “new downtown” in San Diego, while tasting some of the best booze, food, and brews San Diego has to offer.

This was a great experience for us as San Diego locals. Good company, interesting conversation, fun facts about the area and introduction to some excellent restaurants we had not known about but will definitely revisit! Stefan was a gracious and enthusiastic host who was greeted warmly by the staff of all the places we visited. Definitely recommended for locals and visitors alike and we will likely try out another of his tours.

Absolutely loved this tour! No joke it was well worth the money and we didn't leave hungry or dissatisfied. First Stephen was very intentional and he communicated that he was arriving a minute or two behind so we were not left wondering. He still was on time and he got us started right away with some history of the East side and some insider tips and tricks. What stuck with us most was that Stephen knew everyone and the drinks paired well with the food choices. It was all very fun as a date night and not just for tourists
