Llama/Alpaca Hike and Farm Tour

Overview
Your visit will begin with a brief tour of our farm and introductions to some of our smaller friends (i.e pygora goats, sheep and overly friendly barn cats ) with a short story of our 1850 homestead located in The Historic Hudson Valley on 25 bucolic acres . Followed by Llama/Alpaca 101 and why these soft and fluffy critters are the new Unicorn of animals. We will cover basic safety rules and answer any questions before we begin our trek.

We will guide your Llama/Alpaca trek through gentle pastures, paddocks, past a stocked Bass pond and encourage Llama/Alpaca Selfies along the way.

You will experience a walking and working Fiber Farm tour amongst our 25 bucolic pastured acres. Our hope is that this tour will allow you to reconnect with a quieter side of life, one that allows for relaxation, warm and welcoming animal encounters and a country stroll through our pastures allowing a reconnection to nature.

Absolutely loved this experience. Loved the Alpacas and Llamas. It was so much fun getting to have a Llama or Alpaca to hike with. My family and I had a wonderful time there and we have lots of wonderful pictures. The owner was fantastic and even took pictures for us. The gift shop had so many wonderful things in it. The owner was very accommodating and helped work out a perfect time for our visit. This is definitely an experience I plan to do every year with my family!

Based on all the fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor, I was excited to schedule a Llama/Alpaca hike. Due to inclement weather, our tour was rescheduled and cancelled a couple of times but Andrea managed to squeeze us in at the very last day of our trip. OMG, what a wonderful experience for my family of 4 ! The friendliest cat, Cricket greeted all the visitors. We enjoyed learning about the farm operation and the animals from Andrea/student intern. Biscoti, the llama was assigned to us and he was as curious about us as we were of him. Never thought the warm breath of a llama as he gently nudged you on the shoulder could be theraputic. Don't forget to stop by the gift shop for the fragrant soaps and cute felted Llamas with crochet hats!

Thank You for your kind review! So happy we were able to work around Mother Natures wet and wild Summer sheā€™s been delivering to our area. It was a pleasure welcoming your Family to the farm and sharing our animals and hope youā€™ll have an opportunity to visit again and see your friend Biscotti.
