Llama/Alpaca Hike and Farm Tour

Overview
Your visit will begin with a brief tour of our farm and introductions to some of our smaller friends (i.e pygora goats, sheep and overly friendly barn cats ) with a short story of our 1850 homestead located in The Historic Hudson Valley on 25 bucolic acres . Followed by Llama/Alpaca 101 and why these soft and fluffy critters are the new Unicorn of animals. We will cover basic safety rules and answer any questions before we begin our trek.

We will guide your Llama/Alpaca trek through gentle pastures, paddocks, past a stocked Bass pond and encourage Llama/Alpaca Selfies along the way.

You will experience a walking and working Fiber Farm tour amongst our 25 bucolic pastured acres. Our hope is that this tour will allow you to reconnect with a quieter side of life, one that allows for relaxation, warm and welcoming animal encounters and a country stroll through our pastures allowing a reconnection to nature.

I first came across Clover Brooke Farm when we had a llama crash our company's Zoom meeting. After that, I knew I had to visit for an alpaca/llama hike. Andrea is super knowledgable and gave us an excellent overview of the farm and the animals. We got to spend time with the very curious and playful goats before heading out on a short, but scenic hike with our llamas and alpacas. It was such a unique and fun way to spend the afternoon. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area. Also, check out the handmade soaps and crafts in the shop as they make excellent gifts/souvenirs. Have already told friends and family to visit!

We, party of 8, ranging from 8 years old to 52, all had a wonderful experience hiking with the llamas and alpacas. We had a great time learning about the farm and all the animals. They were all so calm and so affectionate. The tour was well organized and everyone at the farm was very friendly. My son already wants us to plan our return trip Thank you for a fantastic and memorable experience!

After seeing another review on Facebook we were intrigued and scheduled an Alpaca/Llama hike. The farm is a legitimate enterprise, not a fair style petting zoo. The animals are obviously well cared for and part of the ecosystem. The farm is on lovely piece of land with goats happily grazing and songbirds flitting about. After a brief history of the farm by Andrea (who is funny, engaging and bright) we met our hiking companions. If youā€™ve never interacted with any of these creatures itā€™ll be a great treat. Itā€™s hard to describe them exactly but they are unlike any farm animal Iā€™ve met. Andrea knows the critters well and coaches you on dos and donā€™ts. The Alpacas and Llamas are very easygoing and really donā€™t need much guidance. They all have distinct personalities that are fun to see. Overall itā€™s a unique experience that is unlike any other. If you have any interest in these fun, quirky creatures make time to meet them!
