Llama/Alpaca Hike and Farm Tour

Overview
Your visit will begin with a brief tour of our farm and introductions to some of our smaller friends (i.e pygora goats, sheep and overly friendly barn cats ) with a short story of our 1850 homestead located in The Historic Hudson Valley on 25 bucolic acres . Followed by Llama/Alpaca 101 and why these soft and fluffy critters are the new Unicorn of animals. We will cover basic safety rules and answer any questions before we begin our trek.

We will guide your Llama/Alpaca trek through gentle pastures, paddocks, past a stocked Bass pond and encourage Llama/Alpaca Selfies along the way.

You will experience a walking and working Fiber Farm tour amongst our 25 bucolic pastured acres. Our hope is that this tour will allow you to reconnect with a quieter side of life, one that allows for relaxation, warm and welcoming animal encounters and a country stroll through our pastures allowing a reconnection to nature.

As a lover of animals, this was honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had on a farm. I saw baby goats hop, a goat climb on an Alpaca, I got hugs from Tia, and took Biscotti on a walk. I hope to return again soon and visit all my adorable furry friends!

Such a fun day! My husband and I drove up from queens for a day in the Hudson valley. I had this on my bucket list for a while and Iā€™m so glad we finally came around to doing it. Andrea, the owner lead our tour and she was great. It was awesome to learn about the history of the farm, learn about the other animals there and so on. During the tour we got to hang in a field of baby goats and just enjoy the moment. The llama/alpaca experience was so fun. My husband and I opted for our own buddy each. I got Remy the alpaca and he got Percy the llama. The animals are so gentle and itā€™s so nice to walk through the woods with them. We stopped on the top of a hill to take some pictures which was so nice! The walk itself was around 30 mins I think. A few things to note for your visit: -no bathroom, but they do have a composting toilet (think outhouse type). I used it and I thought it was fine and clean -arrive only a few mins before or right on time. There isnā€™t much to explore on your own before the tour starts Overall great experience, thanks again! :)
