Whale watching in the wild and pristine waters of Icy Strait, where Humpback whales are abundant and sighted on every trip, with small business owner Captain Josh! Otter and Steller Sea Lions are also very common, with Orcas, Brown Bears, and other wildlife frequently sighted!

Owned and operated by our own Captain Josh, he will be your personal guide as he navigates the wilderness waters of Icy strait. What makes his tours special is the energy he has and the creative ways he finds to show you his beloved wildlife, so that you can really see and appreciate these creatures with him, and to make every tour amazing.

His 14 passenger vessel was designed specifically for whale watching on Alaska's waters, and will provide a safe and stable viewing platform for you. He also provides the one truly Drone-integrated whale watching tour in the world, providing you with views and videos of wildlife that are truly unique, and at the end of it, you get to take the footage from your tour home!

Josh is plainly a great guy, with a love of what he does, and it shows. His massive drone shows pics of the pod in action, even when you think they are just doing boring things. it brings it to life. Done whale watching around the world, this was one of the best. Dont miss out on the drone experience.

We booked with this excursion because of the drone use and are so happy we did. The captain and his deckhand, Patrick, were always on top of things, and taking time to answer questions and share their knowledge, the entire trip. The boat is nice, and we were comfortable. It's the perfect size for a small group which made it easy to whale watch from the deck rails or sit inside and gaze through the big, clean windows. After having a family pod of Orcas surface about 6 feet from the boat we were thrilled with our time onboard. But the drone footage offered for sale is the best part. My photos usually are terrible, too slow to catch wildlife as it happens, but the drone footage is amazing. I've included still shots captured from our day's drone footage. I would book again with Captain Josh in a heartbeat!

We actually had been booked on another tour and they cancelled and said they could hook of us up with this tour. I am soooooo glad. I looked it up and all great reviews and I was excited it sounded better than our original. I don't know how it could have been any better Captain Josh is very knowledge and years of experience. He could tell where the whale was coming out of the water. We were like right there with the whales. I felt bad for the other boats because they were so far away but no not really. Plus having the drone in the air not only good footage but they could also see more to tell us were to look. We saw so many whales, sea lions, otters, jellyfish and other fish. The sea lions loved the attention, the funniest was the sea lion playing shark it was hilarious. The otters were cute but shy with their babies floating on their back. It did rain good but you can be inside looking out or stand in the front or back outside with rain gear. A group of people who went on another tour only saw 2 whales their tour said whales don't come out in the rain lol boy did they miss out. I highly recommend this tour over any others and would love do come back and take it again. Get the drone footage for 25$ it is awesome.
