Whale watching in the wild and pristine waters of Icy Strait, where Humpback whales are abundant and sighted on every trip, with small business owner Captain Josh! Otter and Steller Sea Lions are also very common, with Orcas, Brown Bears, and other wildlife frequently sighted!

Owned and operated by our own Captain Josh, he will be your personal guide as he navigates the wilderness waters of Icy strait. What makes his tours special is the energy he has and the creative ways he finds to show you his beloved wildlife, so that you can really see and appreciate these creatures with him, and to make every tour amazing.

His 14 passenger vessel was designed specifically for whale watching on Alaska's waters, and will provide a safe and stable viewing platform for you. He also provides the one truly Drone-integrated whale watching tour in the world, providing you with views and videos of wildlife that are truly unique, and at the end of it, you get to take the footage from your tour home!

Great time viewing humpback whales, porpoises, eagles and other wildlife! Josh and crew are entertaining and do a good job of getting everyone as close as allowed.

Avoid the excursions sold by the cruise ship itself, they're usually over priced and there are way too many people. Captain Josh's whale watching was perfect. Just 14 passengers on his boat and Josh really knows what he's doing as he took us to see many humpbacks as well as porpoises, sea lions, and a variety of other wildlife. He and his co-worker are very friendly and knowledgeable. The boat is great, you can sit inside with big windows to look out, or you can go outside fore and aft. Transportation from the cruise ship was painless as well. Book with Josh, he's one of the good guys. Thanks Josh!!!

We had such a wonderful time on this excursion during our stop at Icy Strait Point!!! Captain Josh and Patrick were both great. We saw about 7 whales - including a mom and her calf and a couple of whales bubble net feeding! We also saw sea lions, porpoises, otters, and bald eagles. Would definitely book with them again!!
