Whale watching in the wild and pristine waters of Icy Strait, where Humpback whales are abundant and sighted on every trip, with small business owner Captain Josh! Otter and Steller Sea Lions are also very common, with Orcas, Brown Bears, and other wildlife frequently sighted!

Owned and operated by our own Captain Josh, he will be your personal guide as he navigates the wilderness waters of Icy strait. What makes his tours special is the energy he has and the creative ways he finds to show you his beloved wildlife, so that you can really see and appreciate these creatures with him, and to make every tour amazing.

His 14 passenger vessel was designed specifically for whale watching on Alaska's waters, and will provide a safe and stable viewing platform for you. He also provides the one truly Drone-integrated whale watching tour in the world, providing you with views and videos of wildlife that are truly unique, and at the end of it, you get to take the footage from your tour home!

What an amazing trip this tour was! We saw many whales, sea otters, many varieties of fish, bald eagles- so much beauty and Captain Josh was very friendly and knowledgeable and showed how much he truly loves the ocean and wildlife. The drone footage is outstanding! This is a definite tour to go on!

Capitan Josh's Knowledge of the sea life and appreciation of it is something you can not help but walk away with, add in the drone shots that are amazing and there is no better value or tour for whale watching. Not to mention the otters, sea lions, dolphins, eagles and possible bears

From our initial inquiry to communication after our tour, Josh couldn't be an easier individual to work with. He is knowledgeable about whales and other wildlife in the area and readily shares that knowledge with his passengers. We were so impressed with his professionalism, enjoyable interactions, and the great care he took to both ensure the whales and other wildlife weren't negatively impacted by our presence and that we had a meaningful experience. We had incredible views of whales and bubble net feeding (yes, we were very lucky!) and also saw sea lions, harbor seals, porpoises, sea otters, and an amazing close encounter with a horned puffin. The small group experience and phenomenal drone footage is an added bonus you won't find on any other tour. Despite having some changes to our cruise schedule, Josh was very accommodating and made sure our tour would fit easily within our time in port. He responded promptly with any questions or changes we had and we never had to worry that booking with an independent operator would be an issue. Josh is reliable, trustworthy, and very responsive to meeting your needs. If you truly care about the whales as much as you care about your whale watching experience, this is the tour for you!
