What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Located a few miles from Upper Antelope, Lower Antelope Canyon, known as "spiral rock arches" by the Navajo, is great for those looking for a little hike and a photographer's dream. The lower canyon is in the shape of a "V" and shallower than the Upper Antelope. Lighting is better in the early hours and late morning. Please note: you must arrive no later than 1 hour prior to selected time.

This was a phenomenal experience -- a small group tour with a guide who not only knew the landscape, its history, and its people's culture, but also photography and design. Ian Blackhorse Johnson, who took our group through the canyon, was simply wonderful . . . he took time to show us many interesting angles and answered our questions patiently. The company did everything right in terms of safety, both related to the physical space and movement through the canyon AND to COVID-related protocols. We can't say enough good things about it. To future travelers: while one of the steep staircases seems daunting, group leaders are encouraging and model safe ways to approach it -- and it is well worth it, as the site is just incredible. Thank you!

Great tour. Worth going. Viator price is 1.5 times tour guy price so go directly to Ken’s Lower Antílope Canyon Tours and buy tickets there for $61. We paid 200 for 2 tickets -bit too much comparing to $122.00 at the spot.
