Worth the drive from Sedona where we were staying. It’s a 3 hour drive up and back so 6 hours but the drive through Oak Creek Canyon is spectacular. Flagstaff has all the usual places to stop to eat and get gas. North of Flagstaff there isn’t much except a small town named Cameron with a gas station and Burger King. If you travel with Google Maps there will be a time change about an hour outside of Page. This is confusing because as far as I understand it Arizona is on one time zone. Meaning Page is on the same time as Sedona and Phoenix. So if you’re not familiar it will make you think you are an hour late and missed your reservation.

Our tour guide was really friendly and funny! Leioshua. He definitely had a lot of knowledge about the canyon and how to snap some really cool pics.

Viator needs to make some edits to their website: The time change near Page, Az needs to be documented since many travelers are unaware that this area does not recognize Daylight saving time. We had to second guess our arrival time 30 minutes from Page and was worried we were going to miss our tour. Viator needs to make a point to let visitors know that there is a difference in Upper & Lower Antelope Canyon as fair as ability level. Our last trip with Viator, we visited the Upper canyon and throughly enjoyed it. Thinking it was going to be an easy tour with few stairs, wide open spaces and easy to maneuver through. That was NOT the case for Lower Canyon. I brought my 80 year old mom who walks daily but had issues will all the sets of stairs. There were MANY areas of closed in spaces and she ended up having claustrophobia set in. We were worried about her the entire trip and she was close to passing out. Upper canyon was nothing like it. The staff at Ken’s was EXCEPTIONAL with helping my mom through the tour. Kudos to our tour guide Ben!! I just wish Viator would have mention conditions for the elderly may be a challenge and suggest the Upper Canyon is less strenuous than Lower Canyon with the huge difference with the amount of stairs.
