What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Located a few miles from Upper Antelope, Lower Antelope Canyon, known as "spiral rock arches" by the Navajo, is great for those looking for a little hike and a photographer's dream. The lower canyon is in the shape of a "V" and shallower than the Upper Antelope. Lighting is better in the early hours and late morning. Please note: you must arrive no later than 1 hour prior to selected time.

I had thought I had booked the canyon that you could just walk into - no steps or ladders…and was a bit frightened when I learned that I had booked the canyon where you descend 75 down into it…and back up. However, the way it is laid, it was easily manageable to this 72 year old. Our tour guide, Bryson was AMAZING. He made sure we got the best photos while we were in the canyon. He gave us hints on how to adjust our iPhones to make the colors of the canyon stand out. We had done the other canyon several years ago…and loved the photos we got there, but the lower canyon photo opportunities are far superior. Again…we can’t say enough good things about Bryson…he was wonderful and certainly was one of the reasons we had such an awesome experience in the canyon.

Fantastic tour, great photo ops provided by our tour guide Kennedy. Even though we came at a busy time there was good space between the different groups.
