Many visitors prefer the Lower Antelope Canyon to the Upper because it is less crowded, has light throughout, is longer, and offers great variety. What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

We had a great experience on the Lower Antelope Canyon tour. The group was small, around 10 people and our guide, Kevin, was very knowledgeable. He also had great photography skills and showed us how and where to capture the best photos. We were debating between the Lower or Upper Antelope Canyon tour and are so glad we choose to do the Lower Canyon.

Mother Nature is truly spectacular. So glad we took the time to do this. Not recommended for small children but a definite for everyone else. Nate, our guide, was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, entertaining and enthusiastic. He was the best. Don’t miss it!
