Went down the lower with my mom and 3 year old daughter as well as a small other family that got brought into our group with us the check in process was seamless and swift and our time waiting was not much past our reservation time we were greeted by our guide and assisted with donning our ppe she was knowledgable of the equiptment used as well as able to quickly and effortlessly asssit us in proper fit and function our time til water between being called to meet our guide to stepping into the raft was minute once aboard we were guided through basic skills needed commands and other pertinent information we needed to know to effectivly operate as a team on the raft justine also provided qualtiy interaction with my daughter as well as the other groups daughter and allowed them to pick a team name that made both of them visibly happy before even making our first paddle stroke the way down the river was a lot of fun and our guide was very knowledge able of the best "kodak moments" on our journey down the river as one person in our group had a waterproof camera (they do sell cameras for the trip in the store at check in as well as pre-sale the boat pictures taken during the rafting trip for a discount before you go down the river) during our trip she interacted with us and kept us in high spirits as well as being very atune to the needs of my daughter as well as all of us when my daughter would get upset (mainly because she couldnt splash the other guides) she would assist in consoling her she took amazing care of us on our trip and made sure it was a great time for all in our boat as the other family put it she made the trip the highlight of thier vacation thus far we will be coming back and ill leave my daughter with my parents and take the upper next time hopefully i would be so lucky to have such an amazing guide as justine take me down that time as well

Make sure your navigation system is working and preview the route before you go. Everyone must have shoes that have a heel strap or be a regular tennis shoe, no flip flops. Get there real early and eat your picnic lunch you brought under the pavilion and then gear up to get wet! Our guide, Nila, was fun, nice and professional. We had fun! Don't miss the one!

My wife and I are experienced kayakers, and wanted a taste of moderate whitewater, along with learning more about a river we have not been on before. The staff was amazing and helpful. They offer 2 river runs, upper and lower on the Pigeon River. The upper has steady class 3,4 rapids and can fo some washing and tossing. The lower is usually a bit milder, and has a few class 3 rapids, but with an option to steer away from them. We didnt!!! We went the day after a heavy rain, and water levels were up and moving, so it was a great first shot at a new river before trying the upper section. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable, and wont just toss you to the waves, they want you safe, but want you to learn too. Their store and setup is great. Lots of shirt or souvenir choices. Cant wait to go back!!!!
