We went on the lower pigeon trip as we had small children. There really was nothing wrong with this outfitter, except that they tell you to be there 45 minutes early, then were running a half hour late. Considering tours donā€™t run in the morning and we had to drive an hour to get to the location, this trip ate up our whole day for 1 hour on the river. Our 4,5, and 8 year olds enjoyed themselves, but as an adult I would have preferred more rapids that the upper river tour offered.

Thank you for the feedback on your recent trip, and I apologize for the trip delay. The first week of August was a bit of a struggle with road construction slowing us down, and I am sorry for that. I agree the lower trip is great for the kids but a little bit more scenic. I hope that we see you again when the kids are old enough to give the Upper a try. Have a wonderful summer, and thank you again for sharing your comments.

The whole trip was very nice and had a lot of scenery to look at. Brie, our guide, was super nice and very social.

I think the Pigeon RIver Gorge has some of the prettiest views in the Smokies, and I'm glad to hear you enjoyed them as well. And thank you for the great comments about your guide Brie. She works super-hard to make sure everyone has a great time on the trip. I hope we see you again on your next trip to the Smokies, and have a great rest of the summer.

We had a great time rafting! Our youngest is too young to do the Upper River course, so we opted for the Lower River. It was fun, and the kids enjoyed it a lot but as an adult, it was a little underwhelming. No fault on anyone, just that for the littles to be able to enjoy and stay safe, this course can't be full of rapids. Our guide, Clay, was awesome and told my kids lots of little jokes that added to the fun. We will definitely be visiting again!
