Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, or sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

What To Expect

Pigeon River

We have a big facility with picnic tables and a food truck, plenty of parking. We are located by the Pigeon river and there is a campground right next to us.

Smoky Mountain Outdoors Rafting

The River Outpost is where all customers check in to go down the river. Everyone needs to show up 45 minutes before there schedule time in order to check in.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

We had never done a white water trip so there was some nervousness of course especially with a 4 year old little girl. But our guide Maddie was awesome she was really patient and helpful and really made it enjoyable! The trip itself was amazing so beautiful and clean , we for sure want to do It again and again! Birdman made our trip really, really, really exciting! All the kids were ready to go again on the upper river! We had 2 adults and 5 kids, ages 3-12, and had a blast, even in the rain. Birdman kept us entertained and well informed about the surrounding area.

This was by far the highlight of our vacation. The kids loved rafting so much. We weren't able to do the Upper Pigeon due to my youngest being to young but she would have done it if we were allowed. The rafting was so much fun. Our guide was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable and was in complete control the entire time we were on the water. He made sure everyone was properly fitted with their vests, was very thorough when explaining how to sit in the raft, and was very entertaining. If Smoky Man Outdoors is an option for you I would definitely do it.
