Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

So disappointed in what was supposed to be the highlight of our cruise. Way too many people jammed into the hot facility rather than being outside in a natural setting and the food wasn’t as good as the ship either. I wouldn’t think that the original performance would have included full body Lycra suits so don’t understand why some performers were dressed like that - far from a traditional Luau I’m sure. Check out the free Luau in Honolulu and save you money

Went to luau and paid extra for front table gold area and turned out that they have additional tables in front of them. So if you thought you were going to get a front view then no as there are extra tables of four that are between you and the stage. Show is great but not worth paying for what you thought was a front row table as indicated in their brochure.

My wife and I decided to go to this Luau. It was a nice place and the show was excellent. The free drinks were good and the buffet had a good selection. Only complaint was beyond their control... The heat. We know that while there they were not having their normal trade winds and the place was covered and had open sides for a breeze to blow through. Problem was there was no breeze. They need to have a couple of fans around for when this happens. It was very hot and no breeze which made it uncomfortable for everyone. I can't imagine how hard it was on the performers. They pushed through and gave us an awesome show. Would I book again? Only if there were a breeze.
