Luau Kalamaku with Buffet Dinner & Show

Overview
Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The show was great and the food was good. It would have been a lot better if they install some fans in the building to cool it down some.

The train ride was nice. It was fun to be able to get off and feed the animals. The food at the luau was not that exciting. The service was fabulous. The show was amazing. Overall, it was a good experience.

The story part of the show was incredibly well done. Professional dancers with great costumes, coordinated movement, and a real sense of passion for what they were doing. The buffet style food was decent but not amazing - but you don’t come for the food. You also sit at large communal tables of about 10 people. There was a premium option with several courses and private tables if that is important to you. The fire dancers component was incredible and definitely the highlight.
