Overview

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The show was really good. I loved it and the dancers are great. Love the part when they ask the audience to do a hula dance.

We bought our tickets online we decided to upgrade to premium since it was our first time in a luau & we are in our honeymoon. We got there around 430pm. No need to arrive at 445pm you will see everything when you get there unless you want to get on the train. Last ride it’s at 5:30pm. Okay on to the good stuff you get there and greet you with lace. There was a couple vendors selling and a photographer taking pictures. After that you can go and enjoy the open bar. Alcohol is not premium liquor so just watch out for that. Show started at 600pm show was amazing. Dinner buffet starts right after show starts. Buffet options were vegetable lo Maine, macaroni salad, white rice, teriyaki chicken thighs, fish, fresh fruit, salmon ceviche, and butter veggies. Dessert were coconut jello, pound cake, and chocolate pies. Overall the buffet was okay. We enjoyed the first time expo overall.
