Luau Kalamaku with Buffet Dinner & Show

Overview
Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The train ride was great and the food was exceptional. We missed the pig ceremony and taking pics. There was a confusion on our seatings but it was taken care of immediately.

Fantastic place to try. The food was great and all you can eat. Drinks were fantastic and open bar. Show you just have to see

The show is okay. I’ve seen better luau shows. Highlight was the fire dancers. They were excellent. The food was mediocre at best. The fish was decent but memorable. The chicken thigh was good as was the macaroni dish. Everything else just sucked. No poi or authentic Hawaiian dish to add realism. For the price they ask to attend they need to revamp the menu and give timeline and history of the show. The pre show was better than the actual show.
