Overview

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The train was an interesting way to learn about the area and see some plant life. A lot if food choices, but a bit disappointing. The show was amazing.

This was way to packed over a 1000 people. Food was inedible high carb macaroni salad? Not sure how you feed this many people.

Thank you for your feedback. In addition to the starches - macaroni salad and rice, the buffet features local and Hawaiian dishes including Kalua Pork, chicken, desserts and more. Mahalo!

The show was amazing! Loved the story and it was portrayed beautifully. There were quality items to purchase from vendors before the dinner. We got both of our dogs collars and leashes with a Hawaiian theme print on them. The meal was slightly disappointing. The vegetables with garlic were cold and tasted terrible. There weren’t many choices of foods to pick from. Other luaus we have been to had many traditional Hawaiian foods and a huge variety of dishes to choose from. Overall a fun but expensive evening out.
